ABOUT TEAK
Teak (tectona grandis) is one of the most valuable woods in the world, possessing high strength and durability, along with exceptional beauty. Teak's ability to withstand climate changes without cracking, warping, rotting, swelling and shrinkage (or needing maintenance) is what makes it such a valuable wood and such great material for outdoor furniture.
Teakwood has a life expectancy of 75 years untreated due to its natural rubber content that naturally resists moisture.

Selection and source
Essencia Design teak furniture is made only from the finest cuts and the highest grade of solid plantation-grown teak wood. Most of the time people refer it as grade A . Characteristics of grade A wood:
Smooth grain on the wood, straight line
Golden brown color
No eye knots
Essencia source of wood comes from the sustainable plantations of perum perhutani. The plantations are owned and managed by Indonesian government who has strict policy with regard of the age, size, and number of trees cut each year, along with sustainable replanting program.
Process
Essencia Teak wood is kiln-dried to prevent splitting, warping, rotting and to resist even the harshest weather condition. Each piece is well constructed using mortise- tenon, dowel, solid brass or stainless steel hardware to ensure durability.
Last but not least furniture is well sanded to give the final smooth look.
ESSENCIA DESIGN TEAK WOOD WARRANTY
Essencia Design offer a 5-year warranty for residential and 3-year warranty for commercial on teak wood furniture to the original owner to be free from defects in material and construction of normal residential and commercial use. This warranty does not apply to damage resulting from improper maintenance, misuse, negligence, severe weather occurrences, unauthorized repairs, and normal wear and tear.
